Testimony of Marco from USA

By no plan of my own, and as a college student in 1990 on a trip to Italy with my family, we ended up attending the Beatification of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati in May 1990 in Rome.  Knew nothing about him, and it took a reversion to faith in 1994, and a relocation to Denver, CO to rediscover him through the Frassati Society of Denver.  Turns out the program from the Beatification traveled with me to Denver, and later my wife and I established the Frassati Society in Detroit when we moved back to Michigan in 2003.  Original members of the Society have moved on to several fruitful vocation in both religious and married life.  Members of the Society subsequently translated a French play on the life of Pier Giorgio Frassati into English, and have performed it several times around Southeastern Michigan and in Canada.  He has become a role model and intercessor in my life in many ways.

Testimony of Jess from USA

I heard about Bl Pier Giorgio on a Lighthouse Catholic Media cd. His commitment to living out the beatitudes and the joy/zeal he had for life in Christ inspired me. Bl Pier Giorgio was living proof that the Catholic life is not dull, ordinary, easy, or cheerless...but a life of challenge, joy, ardor, and adventure. Bl Pier Giorgio's life and testimony were a gift to our Church, and his intercession is an even greater gift to us now.

Testimony of Ricardo from Ecuador

An amazing short life. Full of vitality, love and mercy towards those who needed it most. Mercy and time, support and strength to achieve his belief for a better world.
An example that you don't have to follow the money but use it for the wellbeing of others.
His faith and humbleness could be the ray of light that inspires whole new generations to understand our chuch under a contemporary vision of life.

Testimony of Warde from Lebanon

Blessed Pier Giorgio 's Canonization can be one of the highlights of the Synod next year, his life and example have impressed me much. I first got to know about him at WYD Sydney 2008 where his remains were shown there, and then in Kraków, 2016 ; he's a real friend! I see he's a sign of hope for young people who are tossed by the waves of medernity, in him they can find a star showing them where real joy lies!

Testimony of Neil from Ireland

Bl.Pier Giorgio showed me that Catholics were not needed to be men who lived lives of solitude and prayer. He was a fundamental factor to my conversion in Catholicism, as a broader idea that sanctity can be achieved, even if you seem to be an enigma in your faith circles. He is fitting of the quote by C.S Lewis quote "How monotonously alike are the great tyrants and conquerors; how gloriously different are the saints."

Testimony of Deacon Matt from Australia

11 years ago, my wife and I were praying and discerning whether I should become a permanent Deacon in Australia. There had been alot of blocks and malaise and so we decided to do a novena to Blessed Pier Giorgio to ask his intercession. Well, the first night I had profound dreams about the goodness of God and His closeness. The second night Pope JP2 and Benedict came to me in a dream and deeply consoled me. It was profound.  I told mywife, who got excited and said ask Pier Giorgio about if and when you will become a Permanent Deacon. So I did. Pier Giorgio told me it would happen and it would happen in 9 months time ata specific time. It was VERY specific. Anyway, when I had the dream it would seem impossible. But it happened. On the date that Blessed Pier Giorgio told me!! Here is what it led to.

Pier Giorgio is amazing

Testimony of Marina from Australia

I came to know him through the Word on Fire website, when Bishop Barron wrote an article about his life. Since then he has been a constant companion to me in my prayers. I am inspired by his love of the Blessed Sacrament, by his practical and concrete expression of his commitment to social justice and love of the poor, by his youth, by his prayer life. Several times I prayed to him to help me   -- to be generous, to persist in my prayer life, to love and be of service those less fortunate than I am. All my prayers have been answered through his intercession. That he enjoyed the "normal" things in life made him more accessible to me, although I am 63 years old!

Testimony of Cameron from USA

I converted to Catholicism in 2012 and my spiritual adviser recommended Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati as my confirmation saint. Not knowing anything about him, I agreed. Now 5 years later I am in awe of how inspiring he has become for me-his youth, boldness, devotion to God, prayer life, and commitment to service have impacted my life greatly. He continues to make me a better father, husband, and Catholic every day.

Testimony of Elizabeth from USA

I am a youth minister who constantly invokes Pier Giorgio with our teens. They are drawn to his struggles his humor and his honesty. Several teens have been inspired by him to remain Catholic when they originally wanted to abandon their faith. Also during the birth of my first son on the eve of Pier Giorgio feast day we prayed throughout the labor and despite what seemed to be bleak conditions my son was born and is healthy. Thank you Pier Giorgio

Testimony of Ziad from Lebanon

BI Pier Georgio Frassati impressed me and touched me deeply with his simple life. He was so dedicated to help others despite everything. He never complains, he never doubt, he never refused to walk the extra mile through helping others.... he did not climb the Italian mountains only but he climbed all type of mountains... for me he is a model of perseverance, of dedication and help without boundaries... Pier Georgio is for me an inspiring model of hope, faith and above all an inspiring model of charity.

Testimony of Olivia from USA

Giorgio is truly a saint for our times. His zeal for the Lord overflowed into the mundane details of his normal life, granting him a zest for the mission he'd been given as a disciple of Christ. He is one of us. He is our friend, our brother, and our intercessor.

Once I met Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati, my relationship with God was ignited in new ways. I was able to see even greater depth in my vocation. My prayer life was enriched as I began to see the entire world through the lens of reaching the heights. Bl. Pier Giorgio is the patron saint of our family, and our firstborn son is named after him. He has been generous in his intercession for us and in his guidance. He daily brings us closer to the Heart of Jesus. I am forever grateful to him and, if I reach Heaven through God's mercy, Giorgio will be one of the first people I hug.

His canonization would mean so much to the young Church, and his intercession as saint will ignite the hearts of so many looking for deeper meaning in their own extraordinary lives.
