Blessed Pier Giorgio inspires me to live in the world, but not be of the world. He gave his wealth away with utter generosity- not only his material wealth, but the wealth of love overflowing in his heart from his intimate relationship with God and frequent reception of the Eucharist. His devotion to God, while sometimes a source of jest for his peers, did not lessen, but increased his attractiveness to those around him. He had true joy in living the gospel, which compelled him to do so in every aspect of his life.
